Panaji: The Directorate of Panchayat has announced that the elections for Taleigao village panchayat will be held on April 28.
The five-year term of the existing panchayat body will end next month. Total eight wards will go for polls.
Of the total 11 wards, the ward No 1, 2, 5 and 8 are reserved for women. Similarly, ward No 10 is reserved for Other backward class (OBC) and ward No 4 for Schedule Tribe.
The election schedule would be announced by State Election Commission.
