Panaji – ‘STROKES OF HARMONY’, a beautiful coffee table book comprising of paintings by renowed singer Usha Mangeshkar ji reveals the veteran singer’s journey in the field of art, said Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte.
TM Khaunte was speaking after releasing “STROKES OF HARMONY” a coffee table book of Paintings of Usha Mangeshkar. Rajya sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavde, Usha Mangeshkar, Tourism Director Tourism Sunil Anchipaka & othe dignitaries were present for the release function.
The First Family of Indian music industry – Mangeshkar’s, have been known for world, for their achievements in the field of music. Usha Mangeshkar, renowned singer and younger sister of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar along with rest of the family are names that can be etched in gold when it comes to their timeless contribution to Indian Music, Khaunte mentioned
He further said, I feel proud to state that Goa Tourism is part of such initiative as Goa always associates with art and culture in a big way.
One of the lesser-known talents that Usha Mangeshkar possesses is her ability to paint masterpieces – her paintings – an art form she has held close to her heart and not revealed her side as an accomplished artist is indeed laudable, said Rajya sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavde.
“This is a dream-come-true for Lata Didi who always encouraged my artistic talent,” recalled the talented singer Usha Mangeshkar ji after the release. A Coffee table book is a Times Group initiative, supported by Goa Tourism to mark a tribute to Lata Didi.
The first copy of ‘Strokes of Harmony,’ comprising of paintings by Usha Mangeshkar was presented and offered to Lord Siddhi Vinayak, at Shri Siddhivinayak temple, Prabhadevi, Mumbai.
This coffee table book also depicts Goa Tourism in a big way. Special 6 pages of this book specially on Goa’s Tourism showcases Goa, beyond beaches. These special pages on Spiritual, Eco, Hinterland, Yoga and Wellness, Adventure tourism, which forms part of the book promotes Goa’s Tourism.
