When police couldn’t trace him, he was openly addressing media persons in Canacona.
Canacona: A day after Gujarat police termed, Canacona-based Ligorino D’Ssouza as non traceable, he was seen addressing press conference in the town on Monday evening.
Gujarat police had arrived on Sunday in search of Ligorino who is booked under Prohibition Act in their State. A team led by a PSI level officer was in Goa.
Talking to GNH, PSI Jala had claimed that Ligorino was not traceable and hence they went back.
Canacona police, who were assisting their Gujarat counterpart, also had not been able to point out to the accused who is wanted in connection with inter state liquor smuggling case reported in the year 2021 in Gujarat.
What is interesting is that even as the Gujarat police were on their way back, Ligorino was seen in a video addressing press conference along with his wife and others.
This has raised question mark as to whether Gujarat police were misled and not allowed to reach to him. Police had visited Canacona and Honda during their visit.
