Panaji : Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party ( MGP) leader Ketan Bhatikar has alleged that the Ponda swimming pool complex is in shambles as the sports ministry has no funds to maintain it.
Due to SOPs, the public are not allowed to use the swimming pool, moreover the sports minister has failed to pay attention to the pool. “Government has no funds to buy chlorine for the swimming pool water. Government should inform us in advance if they lack funds because if needed we will buy chlorine” said Bhatikar.
“Badminton fees have also been increased by authorities from Rs 300 they have increased to Rs 600, we demand that the fees be rolled back,” said Bhatikar.
