Schools asked to hold daily fitness activities

Panaji: Under Central Government’s Fit India Movement- Fit India School Campaign, the State Education department has directed all the schools to hold daily fitness activities for the students.

In a circular issued to all the heads of the school, Director Education Vandana Rao said that Fit India Movement- Fit India School Campaign, is run by government of India in schools.

“Physical activities must be made part of daily routine for all classes in schools to boost fitness,” she said.

“It is therefore, enjoyed upon all the heads of the schools, higher secondary and special schools to hold daily fitness activities for all the students for the holistic development of the children and make Fit India Movement a successful people’s movement,” she said.

Schools are asked to submit action taken report on the same.
