Porvorim: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte’s Ganesh Chaturthi visits to the constituencies of Mandrem, Aldona and St Cruz has fuelled political speculations. Khaunte has been meeting few political leaders in this constituency, while also visiting the houses of his well-wishers and friends.
The Porvorim MLA began his tour with the visit to Mandrem, where he was seen with MGP leader Jit Arolkar.
Next day, Khaunte was seen in Aldona constituency. It may be recalled that Aldona was on Khaunte’s radar during last election. A day later, he visited Merces and St Cruz where his brother Rajesh is rumoured to have been eyeing to contest.
While Khaunte had spoken about playing a larger role in the politics for upcoming Assembly election, it is to be seen whether these visits were merely as a part of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations or there is some political fireworks that we can expect in future.
