Panaji: Exuding that a resolution by all 40 MLAs against handling of coal in Goa will solve the problems, Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao opined that a bill should be passed unanimously opposing coal transportation in Goa.
Alemao was addressing reporters at a press conference on Thursday. Alemao expressing disappointment said, “I was not invited for Opinion day function held at Lohia Maidan. I was invited for all other meetings where I was never allowed to speak but was made to sit in the audience. But for this function I was never informed or invited, I am deeply saddened that I could not express my views on Opinion Poll day. Because of Opinion Poll day today we have 40 MLAs and 3 MPs in Goa.”
Stating that Sinquetim – Benaulim bridge has been retendered and work will start soon Alemao said, “Despite offers, I never joined BJP. I have extended issue based support to the BJP govt, otherwise Benaulim would have missed the development bus.”
“Two runways could have been accomodated at Dabolim by squiring ZACL land,” suggested Alemao.
