Panaji: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi will be on a day long visit to the state on December 10 during which she will be addressing various events interacting with youth and women.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat told reporters in Panaji that on December 10, Gandhi will arrive in the state after which she will interact with the women at Morpirla village in Quepem constituency of South Goa.
On her way to Morpirla village, Gandhi will be pay tributes to freedom fighter Ram Manohar Lohia at Assolna village in South Goa, he said.
Lohia had given a clarion call for Goa Revolution during the Portuguese era, 75 years back, Kamat said.
On the same day, Gandhi will be interacting with the youth at MCC Ground in Margao town of South Goa, he said adding that after that event she will address an interaction with women at another venue in Margao city.
Kamat recalled that the foundation stone for MCC building was laid in the year 1967 at the hands of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
He said that after attending Margao events, Gandhi will visit Dabolim where several prominent leaders would be inducted in the party.
