Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that bestowing Padma Bhushan award to late Manohar Parrikar was “tribute to the great visionary.”
The former Union Defence Minister was amongst the names declared for Padma awards on the eve of Republic Day on Saturday.
“Delighted that Late Shri Manohar Bhai Parrikar has been conferred upon the Padma Bhushan award (Public Affairs) posthumously. A tribute to the great visionary leader of masses,” Sawant said in a tweet released here.
