Panaji: Old Goa police on Monday arrested five individuals and rounded up an equal number under the stranger roll during a stringent tenant verification drive.
Officials stated that 512 tenants were verified during the drive, which resulted in five arrests and five individuals being rounded up under the stranger roll.
The drive was conducted at Karmali Railway Station, Corlim, and Old Goa, covering construction sites, labor colonies, bus stops, and gathering points within the Old Goa Police Station jurisdiction.
Additionally, police carried out a Walk-in Beat exercise in the evening to emphasize police presence in the area, covering market areas in Old Goa and Corlim.
