Panaji: Goa Forward Party leader and MLA from Saligao constituency Jayesh Salgaocar raised concerns over shortage of water supply in the constituency. “We receive water for only 2 hours every alternate day. The locals want regular supply of water, our neighbouring constituencies have regular supply. The government should understand the gravity of the issue and provide us relief,” said Salgaocar. The MLA also said that the constituency is getting water from borewells but this is just a temporary solution.
Speaking about the development of Coco beach the MLA said the picturesque beach needs more development as it is a know destination among all tourists. “With more additions and beautification the beach will attract more tourists and hence benefit the industry,” Jayesh Salgaocar inferred.
