“This Government is working for upliftment of farmers in all forms and ways. Whether it is Sugarcane farmers or other farmers with crop loss, never this Government has deprived the farmers of their compensation”, said Dy CM Chandrakant alias Babu Kavlekar.
He was speaking as the chief Guest of the Inaugural function of Krishi Melava held today at Xira Ground, in Shirvoi Village of Quepem.
ZP of Xeldem Sidharth Gauns Desai l, ZP of Barcem Khushali Velip l, all the Sarpanchas, Chairperson of Quepem Dayesh Naik, all his Councillors, Director Agriculture Nevil Alphonso, ATMA Dy Project Director Shivram Naik Gaonkar, Zonal Agri Officer Sandesh Raut Desai and farmers were present .
This was the Inaugural Krishi Melava of the krishi melavas the department will organize in each of the Talukas during the Calendar year.
Around 1000+ farmers from all over Quepem visited the venue during the day.
Speaking further Dy CM Kavlekar reiterated the commitment given by this Govt towards time bound redressal of all farmer related issues. He also highlighted the importance of At Source Subsidy given to the farmers to buy machines. He said “self sustainability in Agriculture will come by glorifying farming, and attracting youth. We need to mechanise the sector and modernise it by keeping the value chain of the activities performed intact”, said Dy CM Kavleker.
Director Agriculture said, it’s all under Dy CM Kavlekar that we are doing so many activities and distributing machines. He praised ministers efforts in the sector.
