Panaji: One of the seven positive patients who were taking treatment at Goa’s COVID hospital has been declared cured by the health authorities after two consecutive tests on him came negative.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the patient is now fit for discharge and would be kept under monitored quarantine for next 14 days.
With this development, the number of COVID positive cases in Goa have been reduced to six from seven.
Rane said “Goa has its first recovered COVID-19 patient, bringing the total number of positive cases to 6. The patient will further be kept under monitored quarantine for 14 days as per protocol before final discharge.”
“I applaud the medical staff for their dedicated service and tireless efforts in ensuring our patients are given the best treatment,” the minister said.
