Panaji: Chief Electoral Office of Goa has appealed all the bankers to monitor unusual and suspicious cash transaction during the election period.
Chief Electoral Officer Kunal on Wednesday held meeting with the representatives of various banks at the backdrop of forthcoming Goa Legislative Assembly election.
During the meeting, Kunal appealed to all Bankers to monitor the unusual and suspicious cash transaction made through the banks during the election period to ensure the conduct of free and fair General Assembly election 2022 to be held in the state of Goa.
As per the media statement by State Information and Publicity department, Kunal pointed out that there are chances of distribution of gifts, goodies during election period and urged all banks to ensure proper documentation is done during transaction and transportation of cash by the vans for filing the ATMs, and delivering cash at other branches, through outsourced private agency or Bank Van have to carry proper document issued by the bank.
Kunal assured that the Election machinery will promptly react to any illegal transportation and urged the Bank to take appropriate measures and also directed to submit report if any such transaction are identified.
The CEO said that Election Commission of India has launched e-vigil app through which on any complaint received through this app for conduct of free and fair election.
