Goa govt is thinking positively about the lockdown

Panaji:Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday hinted at a lockdown in the state claiming that the decision on the matter would be taken in next 2-3 days.

Sawant attended the meeting of MLAs through video conferencing on Thursday to take stock of the situation.

The Chief Minister said that the State government was “thinking positively” about the lockdown and decision will be taken in next 2-3 days.

“We will talk to all the stakeholders before taking the decision,” he said.

Goa is currently going through the stringent curbs including closure of the non-essential shops in the state.

Sawant said that all the MLAs of BJP have been asked to set up war room in their respectively constituencies. “The MLAs will also have to start  24 by 7 call centres which will be in touch with the COVID-19 patients

He said that the local panchayats have been given responsibility to ensure that the people who are adviced Home Isolation do not go in public.
