Goa college of Art signs MoU with four institutes

Panaji: Goa College of Art today signed  a memorandum of understanding with four institutes namely Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, Mahalasa College of Visual Art, Mangalore and Entrainment Society of Goa.

The Mou was signed in the presence of Minister for art and culture Shri Govind Gaude.

The MoU was signed by Dean, J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, Shri Vishwanath Sable, Dean J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, Dr. Santosh Kshirsagar, Principal, Mahalasa School of Visual Arts, Manglore, Shri N. S. Pattar, Chief Executive Officer Shri, Amit Satija, IAS, and Principal of Goa Gollege of Art Shri Mahesh Vengurlekar.

 

The MOU envisages expanding the scope of art education and to initiate the students into the industry and to expose them to art education methods in other states.

Speaking on the occasion Gaude termed signing of MOU with four reputed institutes as an historic occasion which will help the student community to get much needed exposure in the field of art.

He said, unless we practice and perform there is no success in life. There is  no short cuts to achieve success and excellence he added.

The Minister said, the MOU will further instrumental in facilitating teaching-learning exchange between the institutions and will help in further enhancing the quality of art education in the country. He said, the industry will also be benefited by getting more skilled work force in the field of art and art related industry including film.
