GFP proposes alliance of non-BJP parties for upcoming Goa polls

Panaji:  Goa Forward Party (GFP) on Wednesday appealed all the opposition parties including Congress to come together for the 2022 Goa Legislative Assembly election.

GFP President Vijai Sardesai told reporters in Panaji that the “results of Bihar election is a lesson for Goa that we all should come together to defeat Narendra Modi.”

He said that the alliance partners should have decide seat sharing agreements depending on “proportionate strength in each of the assembly constituencies.”

Sardesai was talking to reporters after inducting social activist Jitendra Gaonkar in the party fold. He also announced that Gaonkar would be party’s candidate from Pernem Assembly segment.

Speaking on the proposed alliance, Sardesai said that he is willing for pre-poll tie up with the non-BJP parties and if it does not materialize, than his party is ready for fighting the upcoming elections alone on its own.

Sardesai adviced the opposition  parties  not to wait to announce their candidates at the eleventh hour.  The GFP leader said that his party has already announced list of its candidates in various constituencies in advance.

  1. SHAME on Regional Parties & Independents who Criticize Congress & BJP before election and after election they join these same parties. Today’s & Yesteryears Government includes these Regional Parties & Independents who Criticized Congress & BJP before election. Trusting Regional Parties and Independents is like voting for either Congress & BJP, because after election they are going to join either Congress or BJP.
