COVID-19: 72 new cases, two deaths

Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 72 and reached 54,068 on Wednesday,  a health department official said.

The death toll touched  776 as two of the  patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 52,594 with 64 of them getting discharged on Wednesday. The number of active cases is now 698, the official said.

“With 1,704 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to  4,66,545,” he added.
