Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) candidates for their victory in the 2026 Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections.
In a post on X on Saturday, Sawant said, “The Youth Has Spoken” and extended his “heartiest congratulations” to the ABVP candidates.
“The results mark another chapter in student representation at Delhi University, with Rashtra Ekata and Chhatra Ekata continuing to feature in the wider discourse of student leadership,” the chief minister said.
The ABVP won three of the four key posts in the DUSU elections, with Yash Dabas elected president, Riya Chhawdi secretary and Lakshya Raj Singh joint secretary. Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen won the vice-president’s post.
