CM Sawant Condoles Death of Ratan Tata, Calls Him Inspiration for Generations of Entrepreneurs, Industrialists

Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday condoled the death of Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons Ratan Tata, stating that his contribution is an inspiration for generations of entrepreneurs and industrialists.

Tata passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai.

In a post on his X handle, Sawant wrote, “Saddened to learn about the demise of Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons Shri Ratan Tata.”

“#RatanTata inherited a great legacy and led the largest business conglomerate in India. His leadership truly transformed the conglomerate, taking it to the world level,” he said.

Sawant further said, “The bold decisions to acquire Jaguar-Land Rover and large steel companies in Europe, among others, announced the arrival of India on the global business scenario.”

The Chief Minister said, “In recent years, he invested in startups initiated by the youth in India, actively supporting the Startup India initiative.”

“His contribution is an inspiration for generations of entrepreneurs and industrialists. May God bestow Sadgati on the departed soul. Om Shanti.”
