Dona Paula: Goa Forward Party Chief and State Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai on Saturday rubbished rumours around the health of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Parrikar, 63, is recuperating at his private residence at Dona Paula near here, while certain section of media claimed that he was on a life supporting system.

“Parrikar’s health situation is not as bad as it is being projected.  The news are being floated that he is on life support. He is not on life support,” Sardesai told reporters following his meeting with CM for almost half an hour.

“I spoke to him about politics and code of conduct. Other issues were discussed,” he said.

The minister said that his visit was to get cleared the file related to construction of Kabrasthan in Margao town in South Goa, which was pending due to Financial approval.

“I had not come to inquire about his health. I had come to follow up a file about kabrasthan in Margao for which we wanted financial provision. He has cleared the file. The financial order will be issued on Monday,” he said.

Sardesai also ruled out that there is any instability in the State government.
