Panaji: Following are the highlights of chief minister’s press conference on Wednesday.

30 per cent of salaries of all BJP-Goa MLAs for a year will go towards COVID-19 fund.

PM will have video conferencing on April 11 at 11 am.

All the positive people are stable and improving.

 Everyone should cooperate for house to house survey. Those who are home quarantined, their houses will not be visited.

 Those who are going for survey will be given all the precaution gadgets.

 Rice distribution under PM garib kalyan yojana has begun from today. BPL and Priority Card holders will get free of cost rice and wheat would be available.

Harvesting season has started. There are 19 harvesters, we need not bring labourers from outside for harvesting.

 Bagayatdar Bazar and Agriculture Marketing Corporation will provide good market rate for cashew from tomorrow.

 5,865 people have been booked for violating the lockdown. Goans should have patience.

 Anyone who wants to remain in private quarantine centres, they can stay there by paying. We have tied up with some hotels for the same.

We have taken suggestions of the ministers including the lockdown period. All the eleven ministers have given their views. We will give our detail recommendations to PM.

A USA returned person who died in GMC had tested negative for COVID-19. He was admitted as suspected. Three tests were conducted at GMCH and once at NIV Pune which had come negative.

 In all 1,150 PWD workers who were working on a long term on contract basis will now be absorbed in the government society.  There will be no financial implication of this on the treasury.
