Margao: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) continues to face another setback within 24 hours after its South District Convener Rodney Almeida resigned from the post and the primary membership of the party.
In a strong worded letter, Almeida has accused that AAP’s ideology of Swaraj etc is “nothing but hollow words for the consumption of gullible voters.”
He becomes the second senior official to resign with 24 hours, the first one being former General Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar.
“I can proudly say that I have my all only to see if Goa could be saved through the concept of Swaraj, transparency and the 3Cs enshrined in AAP’s constitution,” he said in a letter written to AAP’s Interim State Convener Rahul Mahambre.
“But with the time everything seems to have changed, including how Swaraj is defined,” he added.
“The recent coup d’etat stage managed by AAP Delhi leads me to believe that the AAP ideology of Swaraj etc is nothing but hollow words for the consumption of gullible voters,” Almeida said.
He said that he will continue to devote time and resources for the betterment of Goa through forums that honestly fight for Goa.
