Panaji: The AAP in Goa on Monday dispatched a tempo loaded with one lakh letters signed by different families complaining about bad road conditions, in the presence of the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal, on his third and last day of the tour in Goa, flagged off the tempo in Panaji city in front of the party’s office to be taken to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Talking to reporters, Kejriwal said that during his three-day-long stay in Goa he personally witnessed how the road conditions in Goa are the worst.
“I was always told that the road conditions in Goa are bad. I have personally experienced it,” he said, adding that he was late for a function by one-and-a-half hours on the first day as he had to take a longer route to reach the venue to avoid pothole-ridden roads.

Kejriwal said that AAP had initiated a campaign against these roads under the banner “BJP Che Burak” which fetched one lakh signatures from families. “Out of three-and-a-half lakh families in Goa, one lakh have signed. This means one-third of the population has signed the letters,” he said.

He said that these letters would be taken to the residence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant by party leaders to hand them over.

Other party leaders including Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi Marlena, Goa AAP President Amit Palekar, and AAP MLAs Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva were also present during the event in Panaji.
