Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 88 and reached 1,75,088 on Wednesday, a health department official said.
The death toll touched 3,289 as two of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said. The department has added 68 more deaths to the total tally claiming that those were unreported COVID-19 deaths between August 2020 to June 2021,which were reported late from South Goa District Hospital.
The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 171099 with 103 of them getting discharged on Wednesday. The number of active cases is now 700, the official said.
“With 3617 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 12,79,588,” he added.
