Panaji: The President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Girish Chodankar has demanded to withdraw all the facilities of Milind Naik, who was compelled to resign as minister following sex scandal allegations, enjoyed by him even 25 days after his resignation.

In a scathing attack on BJP, Chodankar said that BJP government always tried to shield Milind Naik after the allegations were leveled and now trying to give him governments patronage. “This is unaccepted that Minister who has resigned on charges of sex scandal has been provided with all the facilities given to cabinet ministers.” Chodankar said.

It may be recalled that the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had accepted Milind Naik’s resignation and had forwarded the same to the Governor for acceptance on 15th December 2021. “How one can enjoy the government facilities when he doesn’t hold the post. They should be immediately withdrawn.” He said.

Chodankar said that the insensitive BJP government failed to give security and a safe environment to the womenfolk. “Instead of protecting women, BJP is protecting criminals and rapists. People of Goa will not forgive BJP for this act of hoodwinking.” Chodankar said.

“The Hon’ble Governor of Goa P S Sreedharan Pillai should immediately direct the government to strip the powers and facilities enjoyed by Milind Naik. BJP and Milind Naik are misusing the power of government.” He charged.

“It is a matter of shame that the former Minister Milind Naik continues to enjoy all the facilities, despite there being public outcry against him.” Chodankar added.
