Panaji: The political analysts are looking at the opportunity for Speaker Rajesh Patnekar to decide on the disqualification petition tomorrow to play a master-stroke and clear all the hurdles infront of few of its party loyalists.

Speaker would be delivering his verdict on disqualification of 12 MLAs including ten from Congress and two from MGP, who had switched over to the BJP in the year 2019.

The analysis of the entire situation indicates that the Speaker has a chance to clear out all the aberrations done by Pramod Sawant led government.

While disqualification of Deepak Pauskar (Sanvordem) and Babu Ajgaonkar (Pernem) will pave way for Vinay Tendulkar and Rajendra Arlekar respectively to contest in their respective constituencies, the other disqualifications also has similar benefits.

The emergence of Savitri Kavlekar in Sanguem Assembly constituency has become a thing to worry for Subhash Faldesai, a party loyalist.

Disqualification of Babu Kavlekar will force Savitri to Quepem freeing the Sanguem seat while Isidore’s exit will clear ways for Ramesh Tawadkar.

There is also a race within BJP for Cuncolim ticket with one of the relative of CM and party loyalist Sudesh Bhise vying for the ticket for next election. Disqualification of Clafacio Dias would clear their way for the ticket.

At St Andre, Francis Silveira’ disqualification will help Ramrao Wagh to grab the ticket while Babush Monserratte will clear seat for Panaji with his disqualification.

While these are just predictions at this point of time, all eyes are now on the Speaker who will deliver his verdict tomorrow.
