Union Minister Shripad Naik admitted to hospital, discharged after treatment

Panaji: Union Minister Shripad Naik was admitted to Goa Medical College on Sunday and has been discharged on Monday after his treatment, a senior official said.

Goa Medical College and Hospital’s Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar told reporters that Naik was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital on Sunday during wee hours after he complained of giddiness.

He said that Naik was kept under observation at the hospital during which his all parameters were found normal except his Blood Pressure which was on a higher side.

Bandekar said that Naik was discharged on Monday but he would be kept under observation at his residence.

He said that Naik suffered Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) which is common during this age.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari who is on two day long visit to the state, met Naik in the hospital and enquired about his health.
