Panaji: Goa Health department celebrated a significant milestone for Swasth Mahila, Swasth Goa initiative with the screening of one lakh women for the breast cancer.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane was the chief guest for the function held at Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula on Monday.
After the function, Rane wrote on social media: Celebrating a significant milestone for Swasth Mahila, Swasth Goa initiative – 1 lakh scans completed, marking a remarkable achievement in free breast cancer screening for Goan women.
“At the event, the dedicated individuals who actively contributed to the success of this initiative were honoured. My vision is to liberate Goan women from the shadow of breast cancer, and with this milestone, we aim to extend our reach even further. Kudos to the efforts of DHS and WCD for making this impactful journey possible,” he added.
