Porvorim: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte said that while State government is busy welcome ‘virus tourism’, worried about spread of virus, the locals are resorting to lockdown of their villages.

In a statement issued on social media, Khaunte wrote “Administrative failure of CMO Goa and his government in controlling coronavirus is pushing Goa towards a very chaotic situation.”

“Several panchayats have begun to issue their own lockdown diktats – MHA guidelines say no lockdown, State is inviting #VirusTourism with open arms while local panchayats are being forced to lockdown their villages to save their people, bypassing government orders.”

“#PappuCM has failed us Goans miserably and it’s unfortunate that lives of lakhs of Goans are at risk because of his ignorance & arrogance.”
