Panaji: Union minister Nitin Gadkari said that sitting in the USA, chief minister Manohar Parrikar must be happy over the ongoing work on third bridge on River Mandovi.
“Construction of the bridge has been a dream of Manohar Parrikar. His dream will soon get fulfilled. I am sure sitting in the USA, Parrikar would be feeling happy about the work,” Gadkari said today.
During UPA government’s tenure, Goa did not get even Rs 50 crore budgatory allocation for infrastructural projects. But NDA government has sanctioned Rs 750 crore annually for various infrastructure works in addition to the funding from National Highway Authority of India, he said.
