Panaji (GNH), Aug 6: The month-long monsoon session of the Assembly is expected to be followed by a cabinet reshuffle led by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, according to rumours.
The possibilities that were discussed prior to the Assembly session are gaining traction again in political circles. If the rumors are to be believed, three cabinet ministers may have to relinquish their posts to make way for their party colleagues.
There has been no formal confirmation regarding these changes, but political experts suggest that they may depend on performance evaluations. The induction of Nilesh Cabral back into the cabinet is being discussed, and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar is also rumored to be making his way into the state cabinet.
While the names of the three ministers being discussed are known, we choose not to mention them here, as it is not ethically right to name individuals until there is an official development.
There is also speculation that Digambar Kamat may be appointed as the Speaker of the House, depending on the decision regarding the disqualification petition filed against him.
The reshuffle is expected to occur before August 15, soon after the session concludes. GNH attempted to confirm this possibility through various sources but could not obtain a formal quote to support the rumor.
