Colva, 3rd May 2025 – The Department of Tourism announces the cancellation of the Spirit of Goa Festival scheduled for 3rd and 4th May 2025 at the SAG Grounds, Colva. This decision has been taken in light of the tragic incident at the Lairai Zatra in Shirgao, where a stampede occurred, leading to the loss of lives and injuries.
The Department prioritizes the safety, well-being, and sentiments of the people of Goa during this difficult time and expresses its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
