Panaji: In a continued crackdown to uphold law and order in Goa’s tourist hotspots, the North District Police, working closely with the Tourist Police, have ramped up their efforts against touting and public nuisance offenses.
“We have zero tolerance for touting,” stated North Goa Superintendent of Police Akshat Kaushal, adding that daily enforcement drives are underway in both North and South Goa districts.
To date, authorities have identified over 1,000 individuals involved in various infractions. This includes 193 people booked for public drinking, 545 cases registered for littering, and 14 for driving on beaches.
Officials have reiterated their commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring Goa remains a welcoming destination for tourists through continued strict enforcement.
