Porvorim: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte today exposed a clear-cut link between actor-cum-businessman Kapil Jhaveri to the high profile BJP leaders in the state.
Khaunte said that the entire clique is about lethal cocktail drugs, hawala, betting, bollywood, underworld and prostitution, which has been run through a clear cut network of companies floated in the state with BJP leaders as its director.
The Porvorim MLA said that the entire link was subdued all this while, which was exposed after the Crime Branch raid at Vagator, wherein Home Minister Pramod Sawant was unaware about the presence of Jhaveri.
He said that the raid was conducted at midnight 12 but it took almost 12 hours to file FIR due to constant pressure of the Chief minister to suppress the matter.
Khaunte has congratulated Crime Branch and Director General of Police for putting their foot down and going ahead with the filing of FIR in this case.
Rubbishing the claims of Chief minister that he met Jhaveri last year, Khaunte pointed out that the meeting happened on April 24, 2020 when the entire state was reeling under COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
He pointed out that chief minister’s office released a press note claiming the entire meeting as “courtesy visit” which took last year. Khaunte said that Chief Minister lied to the people of the state, to save himself from a major embarrassment.
Similarly, Jhaveri has also posted his pictures with Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar, Union AYUSH minister Shripad Naik and GTDC Chairman Dayanand Sopte.
Khaunte said that these meetings were not just a courtesy call but as a part of the strong link between the actor and BJP leaders.
The MLA said pictures had a common face of Chandrakant Appasaheb Bhoje Patil, who is also a director of Shantivir Enterprises Private Limited along with Vinil Vinay Tendulkar, who is son of Vinay Dinu Tendulkar, Rajya Sabha MP.
In the entire link, Khaunte said that the financial firm Tirumala Tirupati Multi State Cooperative Credit Society whose Jhaveri is a Director and one Gurmeetsingh Bhambrah is the Chairman.
Gurmeetsingh is a director of Bombay Sports Co. Ltd, which owns the Global T20 Canada League in Canada.
Gurmeetsingh and Jhaveri are owning company – GKP Services Private Limited, which shares the same office address that of Shantiveer Entreprises Private Limited, with Vinil Vinay Tendulkar as its director. The office address for both the companies is at FF2/2 Bhanudeep Apartment, Haveli, Curti, Ponda.
Khaunte accused that the money has been laundered through Tirumala Tirupati Cooperative bank, which is a conduit for the black money which is channalised abroad from Goa.
He said that the cricket clubs like Sarvodaya Global Sports Private Limited with Chandrakant Bhoje Patil as its director also has Vilas Desai as second director, who is BJP mandal President of Sanvordem constituency. Khaunte said that the Vinay Tendulkar and high profile Goa ministers have invested in this company.
Khaunte said that the entire links are surrounding Bollywood, drugs, betting, prostitution, underworld and hawala.
He said that he would be visiting New Delhi with the files exposing “Jhaveri Kaand and Connections.”
The Porvorim MLA said that he would be exposing more details of the connections in due course of time, which will uncover the underbelly of the nexus between Goa based BJP leaders and Jhaveri and his associates.
He said that such an act cannot happen without information of the chief minister.
He said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to steer the country in right direction, his stoogies in the state are misusing the to promote all illegalities and promote money laundering through such channels.
Khaunte said that the last week, the BJP tried to divert this issue wherein they were trying to show that this is just another rave party, which it was actually a party to promote the lethal cocktail which goes beyond mere narcotics.
The Porvorim MLA said that the government has been trying to personally attack me and malign my image as I have been raising my voice on behalf of Goans and people of Porvorim very strongly against all the illegalities, scams and mismanagement of Covid.
