Panaji: Principal Sessions Judge in Panaji on Tuesday granted bail to actor Kapil Jhaveri, who was arrested for hosting a rave party on August 15.
Principal Sessions Judge Irshad Agha granted bail to Jhaveri on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with one surety in like amount.
Jhaveri was arrested on August 15 by Crime Branch after raiding a rave party at his residence at Vagator village in North Goa.
Three other foreigners were also arrested along with Jhaveri and booked under stringent Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Granting the bail, the Judge asked the accused to surrender his passport and appear before the investigating officer for 15 days from Wednesday.
He is restrained from leaving the state and visiting the coastal belt of Anjuna in North Goa for a period of six months.
Advocate Kamlakar Poulekar and Advocate Anoop Kudtarkar represented the accused.
