Panaji: Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar has said that the MLAs and Ministers should spend more time in policy-making but unfortunately they are busy tracking files of their developmental works.
He said that if officers from respective departments perform their duties properly, then the MLAs don’t have to track the files of developmental works.
Speaking on Hub Encounter with Rupesh Samant, Tawadkar said “I feel it is unfortunate. The structure of development work which includes various officers, they should take forward the process. But the files are not followed up .”
“ The MLAs have to track those files. The MLAs or ministers should spend more time in policy making but they have to spend time in physical development like grounds, roads etc.”
