KA’s college of Theatre Arts celebrates 56th Birth Anniversary of late Vishnu Wagh


Panaji: Kala Academy Goa’s College of Theatre Arts celebrated 56th birth anniversary of former Chairman of Kala Academy and Deputy Speaker late Vishnu Wagh who won St Ande constituency on BJP ticket in 2012.

Minister Govind Gaude planted and distributed saplings at Rajiv Kala Mandir, Ponda and later garlanded portrait of Vishnu Wagh. He said that Vishnu Wagh was his political mentor and guided him in cultural and social life. Vateran Goan writer Pundalik Naik, theatre personality Vijaykumar Naik , social worker Madhu Naik ,President of Gomantak Bhandari Samaj Ashok Naik , theatre vaterans Afsar Hussain, Madhukar Joshi , music composer Balkishna Marathe, kala academy officer Pradeep Gaonkar, Venkatesh Naik, Principal of PES COLLEGE, PONDA prof Vikas Pissurlekar spoke about their association with Vishnu Wagh and his contribution in various fields.

Prof Ramrao Wagh welcomed the guests while Satish Narvekar compered and presented vote of thanks. The programme was attended by staff of the college and ardent followers of vishnu wagh.
