Canacona: Canacona MLA and Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar organised a meeting with the residents of Gulem ward in his constituency to seek “irrevocable NOC” for widening of National Highway 17 from Agonda Junction (Karmal Ghat) to Bhumi Purush Temple, Gulem.
The meeting was attended by large section of the citizens.
Tawadkar sought cooperation from the locals for widening of the road which has currently been into a precarious situation resulting in the accidents. He assured the people to provide compensation, if government has to acquire their land for the project.
During the meeting, Ex-Assistant Engineer Subhash Pagi explained in details about the widening of the road proposed for the four-laning.
After hearing all sides, the Gulem Residents have agreed to issue Irrevocable NOC for proposed widening of NH17 in the overall interest of Canconkars and public in general
