Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant assured the House that the Cyber crime cell will take action against the microblogging site like Instagram users who are defaming Goa through their content.
The issue was raised by Vasco MLA Daji Salkar during Zero Hour on Tuesday. Salkar pointed out that some of the instagram users, who arrive in Goa, defame the state and the faith through their content.
He also said that these users spread false information about the state. “While we welcome the tourists, we cannot allow the state to be defamed,” he said.
Salkar stated that the such accounts should be blocked.
Responding to Salkar, Sawant said that he will ask Cyber crime cell to take action in the matter.
