Panaji: The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) has initiated eviction proceedings against allottees who have failed to utilise industrial plots for their intended purposes or have violated lease conditions, Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho told the Goa Legislative Assembly on Monday.
Replying to an unstarred question raised by MLA Antonio Vas during the ongoing monsoon session, Godinho said that Goa-IDC issues show-cause notices from time to time to allottees and lessees who fail to utilise allotted plots for industrial purposes.
“Eviction proceedings are initiated in such cases,” the minister said, adding that details of plots recovered from such defaulters have been provided in an annexure to the reply.
The government has also decided to re-allot the industrial plots recovered through eviction, he said.
The recovered plots will be re-allotted in accordance with the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Allotment, Transfer and Sub-Lease) Regulations, 2023.
Godinho said that an advertisement for the allotment of such plots through e-auction was published on August 11, 2026.
The minister said that action against defaulters includes the issuance of show-cause notices and the initiation of eviction proceedings, wherever applicable, for violations of the terms and conditions of the lease deed.
