Panaji: Goa Forward Party has demanded CBI inquiry into the deaths near EDM festival and overall narcotic trade in the state.
GFP Vice President Durgadas Kamat tweeted “Govt is responsible for the deaths of three youngsters over the last two days. Chief Minister, Tourism Minister @BabuAjgaonkar has played lip service saying there is no drugs in and around venue of #EDM.”
In yet another tweet, he said “ANC was used as lapdog of the #Govt to issue statements even before the #Viscera report is out that there is no use or misuse of drugs in and around venue of #EDM. Senior IPS officers should not take irresponsible directions from Govt.”
“Still there no confirmation of cause of death of youngsters who collapsed at #EDM site even during previous #EDM. Viscera samples are still reserved. On what basis did Govt issue statement saying it this year deaths were due to suspected #HeartAttack.”
“CBI should take over the probe in cause of deaths at #EDM and sudden increase of drugs everywhere in the state. @PMOIndia @narendramodi our MLA @vinod_palyekar has already written to you on this. Action is needed or else drugs will finish our future generations in the state.”
