COVID-19 cases takes a plunge, hits figure of 35, two deaths

Panaji:  Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 35 and reached 51,891 on Monday,   a health department official said.

The death toll touched 749 as two of the  patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 50,343 with 66 of them getting discharge on Monday. The number of active cases is now 799, the official said.

“With 1,181 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to  4,17,573,” he added.
