COVID-19: 70 new cases, two deaths

Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 70 and reached 49,305 on Saturday,  a health department official said.

The death toll continued to be at  705 as two patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 47,489 with 144 of them getting discharge on Saturday. The number of active cases is now 1,111, the official said.

“A total of 2,069 samples were tested during the day,” he added.
