COVID-19: 59 new cases, two deaths

Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 59 and reached 53,996 on Tuesday,  a health department official said.

The death toll touched  772 as two of the  patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 52,530 with 98 of them getting discharged on Tuesday. The number of active cases is now 692, the official said.

“With 1,505 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to  4,64,805,” he added.
