Panaji: The congress workers from Shiroda, Pernem and Mandrem assembly constituencies have claimed that the BJP worker from these areas are threatening them and not allowing to visit the residents in the area.
Goa Citizens Action Forum held a press conference to condemn the threats given to the Congress workers in Shiroda, Mandrem and Pernem constituencies.
“My team from Shiroda which includes 5-7 mahila congress coordiators have been threatened not to enter the area by Shirodkar’s people,” claimed advocate Diya Shetkar,who runs an NGO Nari Adhikar.
She named the members of her team in the area who told her that Shirodkar’s supporters threatened them and warned them not to enter the area.
Other congress workers are also similarly threatened and warned not to attend or volunteer for any rival party work, she claimed.
