Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who is in the national capital, on Saturday called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan. CM Sawant also invited the President for 59th Goa Liberation Day celebrations in the state.
Taking to twitter Sawant wrote, “Called on the Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji, in New Delhi today. Extended a warm invitation to #PresidentKovind for the 59th Goa Liberation Day celebration, as we embark upon a new chapter to promote Goa’s cultural heritage on the national and global stage.”
Sawant left for Delhi today to meet Union Minister Prahlad Joshi to discuss about mining in the state.
