CM reiterates Govt’s priority to fullfill public requirements

Panaji: ‌The Government reiterates Government top priority  to fulfill basic requirements  of the people and therefore intends to provide  online services to the Goan  people asserted Chief Minister in Dr.Pramod Sawant.
Dr. Sawant said this after  launching  Online Marriage  Registration  System at a function  held at Secretariat today. The Chief Minister said presently  there are 71 Common Service Centres  which are catering to the needs of the  people. Apart from this he said  the Government also aims to start 91 more online Common Service Centers in the State. The basic amenities like purified water,  smooth  power supply,  empowerment of poor people to achieve the goal of self reliance is also cherished by the Government the Chief Minister said.
‌The Law Minister, Shri Nilesh Cabral said that the objective behind making the services  online is to provide ease of business to the people.The just launched online electric  app is also for the said purpose, he remarked.
        The  Registration  Department, Government of Goa in its endeavour to bring  excellence  in public service delivery in a meaningful manner by providing effective IT solutions  to the citizens of the State in association with  National Informatics Center. Goa announced  the launch of  Online Marriage Registration  System in order to ease out the marriage   registration process.
‌Hastle free online registration will help the people  not to  visit  the office of Civil Registrar,  can visit the  website and enter details, upload the document , make payment online and seek online  appointment  for  declaration of marriage and after completion of  notice period  take online appointment for final  marriage registration.  So henceforth the marriage records will be  maintained in electronic format and will be made available online .
‌Shri  Mayur Hee SE  Planning  also spoke about the importance of online services.
‌Secretary Power, Shri Kunal IAS,   Technical Director, NIC,  Shri Sivaraman,  Director General NIC,  Dr.Neeta Verma,  Staff of Registration Department,  NIC among those who were present on the ocassion.
‌State Registrar & Head of Notary Services Shri Brijesh Manerkar welcomed the guests.
‌The Chief Minister also  launched  online  Application for electricity Department.
‌Smt.Soniya Halarnkar  compered the function, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
