PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, in his message on the occasion of State Liberation Day, has recalled the bravery of the freedom fighters.
Goa was liberated from 450 years of Portuguese rule on December 19, 1961.
In the message posted on social media, Sawant wrote, “Heartiest Greetings to the people of Goa on the historic occasion of Liberation Day. Goa is strong, shining, and holding tight to its cultural heritage.”
The Chief Minister further said, “Let us recall with pride the bravery of our freedom fighters during the freedom struggle and express gratitude towards the leaders of liberation.”
