Porvorim, October 21: To the runup to the Amazing Goa Global Business Summit, Vibrant Goa and BMR Innovations organized a meeting at the Mantralaya. Chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant with the delegation of the ICONS of Dubai, discussed various aspects of the ‘Amazing Goa’ Global Business Summit 2024, scheduled to be held from the 8th to 10th of November.
Dr. Sawant extended a warm invitation to the businesspersons and investors associated with the ICONS of Dubai group to attend the Summit and invest in Goa. He emphasized that the Government of Goa is stepping forward with the ‘Make in Goa’ initiative, complementing Prime Minister Modi’s successful ‘Make in India’ campaign, with a focus on making Goa the most preferred investment destination.
Special thanks were extended to Dr. Sreedhar Bevara, CEO of BMR Innovations and Advisor to the Goa State Innovation Council, who was instrumental in bringing this top-tier business delegation to the state. The Chief Minister emphasized that the Summit should translate into actionable steps leading up to the ‘Amazing Goa’ Summit in November. In response, Dr. Bevara assured close collaboration with the Government to explore opportunities and make these initiatives a reality. The Group was informed about the Amazing Goa Global Summit by the Vibrant Goa Foundation team led by Mr. Rajkumar Kamat. A complete presentation of the previous summit & the scheduled event of November 2024 was shown and discussed.
In line with Prime Minister Modi’s efforts, Dr. Sawant stressed the importance of collaborating with the Indian diaspora for the state’s benefit. He highlighted that his administration is dedicated to fostering a business-friendly environment that promotes innovation, growth, and strategic partnerships. Goa is rapidly emerging as a prime destination for domestic and international investors, with sectors such as Tourism, F&B, Technology, Manufacturing, Skill Development, Healthcare, and Sustainability offering great potential. He further added that Goa offers incentives and policies to ensure a smooth business experience, and his vision is to collaborate with serious investors like the ICONS of Dubai. Mr. Neelesh Bhatnagar, the Chairman of ICONS of Dubai & Mr. Dadabhai from Bahrain spoke sincerely about promoting Goa in the Middle East.
With key officials present, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that the state would make its best efforts to ensure that the discussed investment initiatives take shape in a hassle-free environment. Swetika Sachan, IAS, Goa Tourism Director Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Industry OSD Mr Manoj Patil and Mr. Rajkumar Kamat, Chairman of Vibrant Goa Foundation, Mr. Arman Bankley, President of Vibrant Goa Foundation, Mr. Vinay Verma, Chairman Amazing Goa & other trustees of Vibrant Goa Foundation.
